Base Campers® was founded by a pair of close friends: one hails from Cornwall as a product designer, while the other, from London, brings engineering and flooring expertise. These two have accumulated two decades of experience traveling and residing in converted vans.
Our distinction lies not only in constructing and selling campers but also in actively using them. As seasoned van travelers, we possess firsthand knowledge of what truly functions best, and we settle for nothing less than the finest.
We take pride in crafting everything in-house, and our commitment to detail is nothing short of meticulous, bordering on obsessive. You won't find subpar pre-fabricated kits or MDF in our workshop; instead, we adhere to top-tier materials as our standard, such as Superva (a lightweight furniture board) and VW Rusty Lee Rock and Roll beds.
Given that each retrofit project is unique, our initial query revolves around your intended use: "What do you plan to use it for?" This enables us to create a design tailored precisely to your requirements.
