DCD Transporters was established in January 2020 by Darren DuRose, an avid traveler and car enthusiast. Darren, with a background in various engineering disciplines, gained experience working for a renowned national motoring breakdown company before dedicating over 16 years to the motorsport industry, where he supported and maintained prestigious classic and sports vehicles worldwide.
Throughout the years, Darren has owned a diverse range of vehicle brands, but his heart lies with Volkswagen. Engaged in the VW tuning scene since the '90s, he has owned remarkable VW models, including a Golf Rallye, an early MK1 Golf GTI, and several camper vans, such as a '78 VW Bay Window Westfalia Berlin and a custom-built VW T5, featured in multiple national magazines like VWt, VW Camper and Bus, among others.
DCD Transporters, under Darren's guidance, introduced groundbreaking innovations to the camper van market, notably with the development and launch of a lowering kit for the 2018 VW Crafter, challenging traditional swamper-style builds with lifted suspension.
Beyond his automotive endeavors, Darren is a seasoned traveler, often exploring Europe and beyond with minimal reliance on hotels.

Our build approach emphasizes lightweight construction, enabling extended travel distances.
