The journey of Dub Alchemy commenced in 2017 with a single individual, an aging Renault Vivaro, and a driveway in North Wales.
Seeking a fresh challenge, Andy, the founder and CEO of Dub Alchemy, embarked on the endeavor of converting commercial vans into campers, all while juggling his familial responsibilities and his role as a Watch Manager in the Fire Service.
After successfully completing his initial van conversion, navigating the trials of outdoor vehicle work, and overcoming a steep learning curve, Andy resolved that all subsequent projects would focus on VW Transporters, marking the true genesis of Dub Alchemy.
Recognizing a market niche, Andy prioritized the development of a premium off-grid system for his conversions, which remains a cornerstone of Dub Alchemy's offerings to this day. This strategic move swiftly led to supplying vans across the UK.
In response to escalating demand, Andy transitioned from a driveway converter to a full-fledged business, establishing AG Leisure and securing his first workshop to mitigate the whims of the Welsh weather.
AG Leisure flourished, evolving into the bespoke camper conversion company that Dub Alchemy is recognized as today.
The surge in demand for campervans amid the rise of 'Staycations' in 2020 prompted another relocation, this time to Denbigh, where Dub Alchemy is presently headquartered.
With burgeoning demand fueling growth, AG Leisure underwent a comprehensive rebranding in December 2022, emerging as Dub Alchemy and officially launching in March 2023.
Equipped with advanced machinery such as a CNC machine and van lifts, Dub Alchemy has expanded its offerings to include bespoke camper kitchens, servicing, and body wrapping.
Looking ahead, Dub Alchemy is excited to continue serving the VW community with distinctive camper builds, eager to embrace the opportunities that the future holds.
